How to get back the traditional boot chime sound on the new MacBook Pro?

The classic Mac startup chime no longer plays when The new MacBook Pro with the new touch bar. Is it just me or is this a feature with the new Mac notebook ? I'll be most grateful if somebody can suggest a workaround =/ .

According to http://forums.macrumors.com/threads/tutorial-disable-auto-boot-on-new-macbook-pros.2011044 the following commands will turn it on and off when executed in Terminal:

sudo nvram BootAudio=%00

sudo nvram BootAudio=%01
