Microsoft OneNote for Mac Cannot Create This Notebook

Question

I'm trying to create a new notebook on Microsoft OneNote for Mac, but getting the following error:

 

Cannot Create This Notebook

 

The location may not be available at this time, or you might not have permission to save files on it. Also try using fewer characters in your notebook name.

 

Can anybody help?

I have OneDrive as the only available option to save my files to, and apparently the problem has something to do with some inability to create the file in OneDrive.

But how can I overcome it?

Have you tried with a different Microsoft / OneDrive Account?
